Peruvian is a classic 4-thread wool yarn made of 100% pure, new wool. The wool for Peruvian comes from Peruvian highland sheep, which are a cross between corriedale and merino. The sheep graze in the Peruvian highlands, which contributes to the wool's characteristic fullness and beautiful softness. Filcolana use the same wool for the Pernilla yarns.

Peruvian is worsted spun, which means that the yarn is round and extremely regular. This gives a nice stitch definition and makes Peruvian ideal for twists, textured knits and multi-coloured knits.
