Sewcialising is a fabric shop and sewing studio in the heart of York city centre. We sell beautiful fabrics, haberdashery, sewing gifts and yarns & host fun sewing and craft workshop.
We are looking for a creative person to join our lovely team to work in the shop on a weekend and to work in the shop an additional day during the week. The ideal candidate will be flexible and be available on a freelance basis for 1-2 days per week including having availability on weekends and during busy periods.
We are looking for a special someone who is very creative, who can sew, knit or crochet and who generally loves crafting. This person may have a degree in fashion or textiles, or perhaps has many years experience as a self taught sewer or crafter. Ideally this person will have some retail or customer service experience. This job post will offer a variety of fun tasks as the business grows. We have big plans moving forward!
We’re looking for someone with positive energy who is confident, takes initiatives and is able to work independently. Ideally you will be confident on the computer and have experience with social media, websites & video too although this is not essential + there may be some opportunity of hosting craft workshops too.
